ery early on Chris Fabry Live!
we had a listener suggest we highlight callers who are struggling. We want others to pray for their situations. Now, I didn't want to be a clearinghouse for every malady, and certainly I don't want to do my own "organ recital" (thanks to Warren Wiersbe for that one), but I do think many people want to pray for others who have lost a job or are going through some hard times. They also want to rejoice with other listeners who see positive things happening. Hence, we have come up with Make a Difference. Ron Hutchcraft used to call this, "Go MAD." Go make a difference. So if you are a prayer warrior, if you believe in the power of prayer (and I do because it connects our pain and problems with the Creator of the universe), please join us. And let's celebrate some of the difference-makers in our lives today. Give that person a call or an e-mail--just reach out in some way to say thank you, and who knows?  You just may find that you're making a difference to them.

Lindsey from Georgia
Please pray for Lindsey from Georgia. She is facing Christmas with brokenness…she has two teenage children, her husband is living in another state and is an alcoholic. She is filing for divorce. Pray that God would be very near to her and others in her same situation this Christmas.

Darnell
Please pray for Darnell, from Akron, as he walks through heart problems at 27 years old. He has a great perspective on his life. May he use his life for God’s glory however many days he has.

Tiel
Please pray for Tiel who has MS, her husband walked out on her in November, and she is very upset/scared/worried. Pray that God would uphold her and help her figure out the next step. Pray for her marriage, her husband, and their family. Pray for strength, courage, wisdom, and for healing of her broken heart and health–her problems seem to be compounding. Her husband says he has no use for God right now; pray that he would be sought after by God. And thank God for the people who have offered to call and talk with Tiel.

Update on Phil and Dr. George
Dr. Bill George is doing really well after his kidney transplant. He is back at home in Tennessee and even visited the dialysis office today and the people there applauded him. Phil is back at work and doing well after his surgery as well. We praise God for His care and work in their lives. Thanks for praying and please continue to do so.

On Veterans Day
On the Veterans Day edition of Chris Fabry Live! we received a call from a concerned wife. She asks that you pray for her husband. He’s a Vietnam vet. They lost a son in Iraq five years ago, and also lost another child five years ago. Her husband is drinking and depressed and has stopped going to church. Please pray that God would break through the pain and hurt and show his love to this man.

We also mentioned some information we received from a listener, describing some tangible ways to encourage those who are serving in the military.  You can view that information here by downloading the "Support Our Troops" PDF.

Good News From Detroit
Gary Chapman was very happy with the way the broadcast went in Detroit on Monday. Thanks for praying. This PBS presentation will be available on DVD at some point in the future.

Sister-in-Law Kim
Please pray for my sister-in-law, Kim, who is having surgery today, 12/3. It’s a corrective jaw surgery and she will probably be in a lot of pain in the next few weeks trying to recover from it.

Gina and Lainie
Pray for Gina from today’s program, whose father is incarcerated. The whole family is going through some tough times this holiday season. Pray for Gina’s "invisibility" to vanish.

We also heard from Lainie, whose husband has left and has taken her oldest daughter. She is a new believer. Pray that she will be able to find a strong Christian woman to come alongside her in this difficult time.

Fort Hood Tragedy
On Friday, 11/6, we spoke with Chaplain Jerry Sieg, who serves at Fort Hood, TX.  Please pray for him and the other military chaplains there as they minister to those grieving losses after the tragic shootings yesterday.  If you'd like to send a note of encouragement to these chaplains and let them know you're praying, visit the Fort Hood Chaplains website and follow the link to the Fort Hood Prayer Page.

Dr. Chapman on PBS
Gary Chapman will be in Detroit on Monday, 12/7, doing a live television event for a PBS station there. The event will be for 90 minutes beginning at 8 PM Eastern. Please pray for the event, and that many people in that area will watch and hear principles that are taken from God’s Word.

John's Wife Laurel
John asks us to pray for his wife, Laurel, who was recently diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma Endometrioid type, Figo grade 1. They are low income and do not have insurance. Please pray for financial aid to be approved for a hysterectomy. Even more importantly, pray that Laurel will come to understand her need for a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Wednesday, 11/18
We had a call from a listener in Columbus, Ohio today. She came across our program because her CD player wouldn’t work. She said she was blown away by what she heard. A week ago she had a Bible literally land in her lap. Someone asked her if she ever read the Bible - she said no, she was raised Catholic. Her Bible has been sitting in her house. She tried to get through Matthew but was having trouble. Today, because of the CD player, she came across the show and feels there’s some sort of message here. Like God is trying to hit her over the head and say He is trying to tell her something. Please pray for this listener!

Thursday, 10/29
Great news from our friend Phil! He reports that the kidney transplant went smoothly and both he and his professor, Bill George, are doing well. Please pray for their full recovery, and that Dr. George's body will accept the new organ with no complications. If you missed the story of Phil and his kidney, go to chrisfabrylive.org and click on Past Programs, 10/26.

Pray, too, for an anonymous caller to the program today as we discussed "living a life that is unexplainable apart from God." Pray that she and her husband will be able to move together toward a deeper relationship with God and with each other.
