ery early on Chris Fabry Live!
we had a listener suggest we highlight callers who are struggling. We want others to pray for their situations. Now, I didn't want to be a clearinghouse for every malady, and certainly I don't want to do my own "organ recital" (thanks to Warren Wiersbe for that one), but I do think many people want to pray for others who have lost a job or are going through some hard times. They also want to rejoice with other listeners who see positive things happening. Hence, we have come up with Make a Difference. Ron Hutchcraft used to call this, "Go MAD." Go make a difference. So if you are a prayer warrior, if you believe in the power of prayer (and I do because it connects our pain and problems with the Creator of the universe), please join us. And let's celebrate some of the difference-makers in our lives today. Give that person a call or an e-mail--just reach out in some way to say thank you, and who knows?  You just may find that you're making a difference to them.

Jedidiah
JedidiahNot long ago a listener wrote to tell us about Jedidiah Harper, a little boy who's battling cancer. Today we were scheduled to have Jed's mom, Lori, on the program to tell us their story, but unfortunately Jed has had some medical issues come up and they're at the hospital having some tests done. Lori would appreciate our prayers for their family as they deal with the many issues and uncertainties confronting them right now.

To find out more about how you can pray for little Jed and his family, please visit Lori's blog.

Graham
Please pray for our caller Graham, originally from Australia, as he and his wife return to that country as missionaries to the Aboriginal people there. They're stepping out in faith to follow God's leading, leaving everything they know behind them. Pray for the remaining details to fall into place, and for God's abundant blessing on their ministry to these people who so desperately need to hear the Gospel message.

Daisy
Daisy MerrickOn May 5 we talked with Britt Merrick, who shared the story of his daughter Daisy and her struggle with Stage-3 cancer. We received this update from Britt yesterday:

Thank you for all your prayers, comments and tweets. We found out last night that my daughter’s (Daisy-6) cancer is back. The tumor is huge. It is in her abdomen, the size of a grapefruit and inoperable at this point. About 15 pastor/elders from Reality just laid hands on Daisy and prayed for healing. The tumor will be biopsied this afternoon. We are devastated, but trusting Jesus.

Please pray for Daisy and her family. To follow updates on her condition, visit the PrayForDaisy website. To hear our May 5 conversation with Daisy's dad, click here and select Hour 1.

"Mad Dog"
We received this e-mail request from Jim, asking for prayer for his friend. Please lift them both up to the Father as you think of them today.

My closest friend, “Mad Dog,” just got out of jail. He is a recovering alcoholic and was incarcerated on a suspended drivers license. Please pray for “Mad Dog” that he may recover from alcohol with God’s help. He is a man worthy of our prayers.

Cynthia
Dr. Gary Chapman joined us in the second hour today for a conversation about Internet romances and their impact on marriages. We heard from a caller, Cynthia, whose husband has decided to leave her and their five children in favor of a relationship fostered on Facebook. Please join with Dr. Chapman in his prayer for Cynthia and her heartbreaking situation:

Father, You know Cynthia and her heart. You know her husband and what he's doing. You know the children and the pain and anger which they feel. I pray, Father, that You'll minister to her and give her a deep awareness of Your presence. I hope You'll let her know that what her husband is doing is not her fault, it's a choice he's made—don't let her live under guilt. I pray You'll give her continued wisdom in raising her children, and help her in the midst of her pain to reach out to them and be there for them. And I pray You'll give her inner strength, that she'll be able to walk through this with You—knowing that whatever her husband does, You are not going to abandon her, and You're going to walk with her. And give her an understanding heart with the children as they express their hurt and pain and anger toward their father. I pray You'd keep the hearts of those children, and as they process all of this, that Your Spirit would guide them and bring them out in a positive place. And I pray for her husband. I know that You know him; I know that You love him. I know that what he's doing is not pleasing You, that Your heart breaks with her heart. I pray that Your Spirit will bring deep, deep conviction, a sense of guilt, to him. And in whatever way—and You know how to do that—that You will touch his heart as a loving Father who reaches out to discipline His children who are moving in a wrong direction. I pray that for him, in the name of Christ. Amen.

Update from Alycia
We heard from our friend Alycia, who asked us to pray last week for her outreach to friends and family in Alaska. Here's what she said:

The trip to our native village went really, really well—the Lord really blessed us! We were truly able to minister to the people there. The Lord truly blessed that trip, and I know that there were seeds planted in hearts to be changed for Christ. Thank you so much to everybody who prayed for our trip.

Kerry's Homegoing
Thanks to those of you who have been praying for Kerry Keels. We heard the news today that she went home to be with the Lord this morning at 10 a.m. While this is sad news for those whose lives will no longer be brightened by her presence here, we can only imagine the rejoicing taking place on the other side of heaven's gates. Please continue to pray for Kerry's family and friends. If you'd like to give them a word of encouragement, visit the In Loving Memory of Kerry Keels Facebook page.

A Horrific Situation
We heard from a listener today about a 19-year-old Muslim woman in a horrific situation. After marrying a man not approved by her family and conceiving a child, she was kidnapped by her family and taken to Mexico for a forced late-term abortion. She has been dealing with severe medical problems and remains under "house arrest" with her family. Please pray for her, and also for our caller, Mary, as she attempts to intervene in the situation without endangering the young woman's life.

Lisa McKay
Lisa McKay, our guest in the second hour today, would appreciate prayer for the difficult situation she and her husband are facing in the church he pastors.  Please pray that God would bring grace and healing to their congregation, and that the McKays would be encouraged in their ministry there for Him.

Alycia
We received this request through our Chris Fabry Live! listener line. Please remember Alycia in your prayers this week.

All of my family, my husband and his sisters, are going to our home village in Alaska to preach the gospel to our friends and family there. I would appreciate prayer over the next few days while we're there, that the Lord would move ahead of us and make a way, and prepare the hearts of the people. Pray that the Lord would move mightily and revival would happen.Thank you so much, Chris, from Alycia and all the natives of Alaska.

Kerry Keels
On May 24 we talked with Kerry Keels, a former Wycliffe missionary now fighting a very agressive form of cancer. We received the following update about Kerry today:

Please take some time to pray for Kerry. The last few days have been very tough for her. The brain tumors have been causing excruciating headaches and increasing confusion which have been so frustrating to her. Sunday she couldn't remember her name. Yesterday she was in so much pain that heavy meds didn't cut it and she couldn't sleep. Today, Dr. Whitney and her hospice caregivers increased/changed meds so she's finally gotten some rest.

Please pray for Kerry's mom and sisters, too. They are with her, but watching Kerry suffer is very difficult. They are exhausted, too, caring for her around the clock.

We have all been so blessed by witnessing the incredible strength and courage God has given Kerry. Now let's pray for His amazing comfort and peace.

Please do pray for Kerry. If you'd like to listen to our earlier conversation with her, click here and select Hour 2. To join Kerry's online prayer team, visit her Facebook page.

Mike
Please pray for my former classmate, Mike, who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. The tumor is evidently benign, but they can't operate. Pray for medical wisdom for my friend.

Anonymous Caller, 5/18
Please pray for the caller we heard from at the end of Tuesday's first hour. She's desperately struggling to find a purpose for her life, feeling disconnected from God's family and so overwhelmed with pain that she just doesn't know how to go on living. Please pray that God would reach into her life with His amazing love, and that others in His family would come alongside her in ways she can't even imagine right now.

Stella
Please pray for Stella, who called and left a message on our listener line. She's recovering from pneumonia and struggling with some serious lung issues. Pray that God would meet her right where she is, and that His healing and comfort would be evident in her life and the lives of those who are walking with her through this difficult time.
